LAST EXIT / FAQ

Before you take the road.

What is Last Exit?+

An open-ended exploration and social game set after The Silence. You travel by car, look after your fuel and provisions, meet the people who remain and follow traces left along the road. You choose where to go and what matters to your traveler.

What was The Silence?+

The Silence is what the survivors call the loss of the world they knew. Voices faded from the radio, lights went out and familiar routes grew quiet. Its cause and exact beginning remain uncertain. You discover fragments of that past through places, signals and the people you meet.

How do I begin?+

Choose “Begin your journey”, sign in with ChatGPT and create your traveler. You start in Blue Valley with an old car, some fuel and provisions. Read the first encounter, choose a response and look at the roads leading from your current location.

Is there one story I have to follow?+

You choose your route and can return to places you know. Local stories can reach a conclusion while your journey continues. Shared places and events give travelers common ground; your decisions, relationships and memories give your journey its own history.

What can I do in the current version?+

Travel between the seven starting locations, search for supplies, trade for fuel, respond to encounters and keep a journal. You can build relationships with characters and receive later messages linked to your choices. At available frontiers, you can chart roads into new regions and then travel there.

Does every traveler get a completely different story?+

Travelers share a starting region and may encounter some of the same situations. Later encounters can reflect your visits, choices and relationships. Scenes draw on shared motifs and prepared stories. Your route and decisions connect them into your traveler’s own history.

What does the game look like?+

You navigate an interactive atlas and read illustrated scenes and short encounters. Select a nearby place to see its road, travel time and fuel cost. In ChatGPT, you can also describe your intention and open the atlas. Available routes and choices determine what your traveler can do.

Can I switch between my browser and ChatGPT?+

Yes. The game website and the Last Exit player plugin use the same traveler and saved progress when you sign in with the same ChatGPT account. If you have access to the plugin, you can continue there and return to the browser later. Plugin availability in ChatGPT is separate from access to the website.

Are the people I meet other players?+

The people in narrated encounters are characters in the game world. Other players share the geography and can leave anonymous traces and signals. The current version has no public player chat or live conversation with another player through an encounter.

What is shared, and what stays personal?+

The map, opened regions, some route improvements and anonymous traces belong to the shared world. Your fuel, provisions, relationships, memories and journal belong to your traveler. Your account identity and email are not displayed publicly as part of the world.

Do my choices have lasting consequences?+

Some choices change your resources, build trust with a character or lead to a message later. Some improvements affect a shared road. Your journal and memories record your journey. The effects depend on the encounter; a personal message is part of your traveler’s history.

What happens when I leave the game?+

You can close the page. A journey already underway has an arrival time; when you return, the game updates your arrival and any due consequences or messages. The current version resolves these updates as you play or return. There are no daily streaks or penalties for being away.

What if I run out of fuel?+

Search your current location for a little fuel and provisions. At a station or settlement, you can trade provisions for fuel. A place needs time before it can be searched again. Check the fuel cost before setting out and keep some supplies for the road.

Can I install Last Exit on my phone? Does it work offline?+

Open the game in your mobile browser and use its “Add to Home Screen” or install option. You can also keep playing directly in the browser. An internet connection is needed to load your journey and save actions; the installed game shows an offline screen when it cannot connect.

Can I play in English or Polish?+

Yes. The website, Story, game interface and encounters are available in both languages. Use the language switch on the website or the language setting in the game. Changing language keeps the same traveler and progress.

Is the game free?+

The current version of Last Exit has no game payments, loot boxes or paid advantages.

How much time do I need?+

A short visit is enough to read an encounter, make a choice or plan another trip. You can return whenever it suits you. In the game settings, choose a gentle session reminder after 15, 30 or 60 minutes.

How do I report a problem?+

Open the game settings, choose a bug, content issue or abuse report, and briefly describe what happened. You can also ask the Last Exit plugin to submit a report. Include the place, action and any error message..
